ADRIAN — Beginning May 26, drivers in Lenawee County will need to avoid the intersection of Occidental Highway and Valley Road as crews begin construction of a new roundabout.
The Lenawee County Road Commission says the intersection will be closed to all traffic through September 11 while the project is completed.
The nearly $1 million project is designed to improve traffic safety and reduce severe crashes at the intersection using a modern roundabout design.
Officials are urging drivers to seek alternate routes during the closure, as no through traffic will be allowed in the work zone.
