TECUMSEH — A public hearing regarding the city of Tecumseh’s budget for the 2026 through 2027 fiscal year has been set for Monday, May 4th at 7:30 pm.

City Manager Brett Coker submitted a recommended budget for the next fiscal year to the Tecumseh City Council at their regular meeting on Monday.

The budget would see a slight increase in general fund revenues, and total expenditures would be flat from last year.

Coker attributed the change in revenues to inflation at the state level, and the flat expenditure rate to a reduction in capital project spending and a shift to a contractual model for assessing services.

The complete budget file is available for viewing at Tecumseh dot Civicweb dot net, located in the meeting agenda for April 20th.

The hearing was set for the start of the City Council’s next meeting in a unanimous vote.
