Adrian, MI – The National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation has announced that 103.9 WLEN Radio is the 2023 Celebration of Service to America Award winner for Small Market Radio.
The Celebration of Service to America Awards honors the excellence in community service, philanthropy and impact by local radio and television stations across the country.
The Lenawee County community came together in the summer of 2022 to help the Associated Charities after an arsonist set fire to the building, severely damaging it during ‘the charities’ back to school program.
Through fundraising efforts at WLEN the next two days, over $70,500 was raised in cash and gift cards.
WLEN will be honored at the awards ceremony on June 6th of this year in Washington, D.C.
