Sixty-five Compete in AC Tactical Athlete Fitness Competition during Meet the Army Community Day

Adrian, MI – Results are in for Adrian College’s (AC) Tactical Athlete Fitness Competition held during a campus “Meet the Army Community Day” on Friday, April 14th.

Using the real Army Combat Fitness Test standards, 65 competitors ranging in ages from 18-54 were officially scored by Army personnel in six categories; deadlift, standing power throw, hand release push-ups, sprint/drag/carry, plank, and two-mile run. The most points a competitor could earn was 600.

AC junior NCAA hockey player Ayo Adeniye placed first overall with a score of 595, while Mark Mofor-Ngu placed second with 593. Dom Loubert, John Hoehn and Brandon Russell tied for third with each scoring 588.

AC sophomore NCAA hockey player Gia Avalone was the event’s top woman competitor, placing eighth with a score of 567.

Team “Rockets ROTC” (Mofor-Ngu, Hoehn, Russell, Grant Baumle-580) placed first with an average score of 587.

AC’s team, “Double-Stuffed Oreos” (Adeniye, Loubert, Ryan Pitoscia-564, Dershahn Stewart-549) placed second with a score of 574, while team “Tactical Faculty” (Jake Docking-568, Andy Claiborne-555, Tony Coumoundouros-538, Tyler Harris-480) placed third with 535.

All of the participants received a certificate for completing the tactical athlete competition.
