COVID-19 Weekend Update: January 11th, 2021

Adrian, MI – The State of Michigan gave an update on Monday afternoon about the COVID-19 virus… cases, deaths, recoveries, and vaccinations.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that there were 415,079 recoveries, 519,082 total cases as of Saturday. Statewide, there were 2,706 new confirmed cases as of Saturday.

There were 222 new COVID-19 deaths, with 207 of them being identified during a vital records review on Saturday. Statewide, there have been 13,354 total deaths from the virus.

On the vaccination front, the MDHHS reports that there have been 195,240 Michiganders administered a shot.

The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Monday that there were 147 new cases over the weekend, with 15 hospitalized, and 2 additional deaths… bringing the countywide total to 71.

In Lenawee, 70% of the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 are considered discontinued from isolation and improving (or 3,298 out of 4,716).

The LCHD also said that 28% of the total confirmed cases (or 1,332 out of 4,716) were monitoring at home.

As of Saturday, there have been 1,599 vaccines administered in Lenawee County.
