Adrian, MI – A public meeting to discuss funds received by the City of Adrian in relation to Crimson Holdings will take place in February. Complaints about odors from the egg-processing facility, Crimson Holdings, have been made by nearby residents for months. The company has been making efforts to alleviate the smell, but has also violated a court order about operating times in the past.
A consent order that was signed in Lenawee County District Court by Judge Laura Schaedler ruled that Crimson Holdings must establish a $100,000 grant fund that will be administered by the City as a means to benefit the east side Adrian residents who have been negatively impacted by the nuisance odors.
The grant fund will be provided to the city in two $50,000 installments.
The City has set February 12th, at 6:30 PM, as the public meeting date and time. It will take place in the Merchant Building of the Lenawee County Fairgrounds.
