Onsted, MI – The Village of Onsted has issued another boil water advisory due to a main break in the water system.
After lifting an advisory earlier this week for a separate advisory, the Department of Public Works reported another break on South Maple Street from Fourth Street to Slee Road (on both east and west sides of S. Maple Street).
The DPW reports that the break does not affect any other businesses, residences, restaurants, or the Onsted Community Schools. Corrective measures are currently being undertaken to correct the situation.
The earliest possible lift of the boil water advisory would be January 10th. The Onsted DPW will work with the Michigan Department of Great Lakes and Energy to ensure the water is safe to drink after the fix has been made.
