ADRIAN — Residents raised concerns Monday during Adrian City Commission public hearings over special assessments tied to unpaid charges and property fees.

Speakers questioned snow removal bills, said some invoices arrived after due dates, and challenged how complaints are handled.

Concerns were also raised about the fairness of utility and rental-related assessments placed on tax rolls. City Administrator Chad Baugh said staff would review several of the complaints and report back to commissioners.

The hearings were part of the city’s regular process for delinquent rental inspection fees and unpaid water and sewer charges before final approval by the commission.
