ADRIAN — The Adrian Symphony Orchestra is highlighting one of America’s landmark classical works with its next performance in Adrian.
The orchestra will present George Gershwin’s Concerto in F on Friday, May 1st at Dawson Auditorium. First performed in 1925, the piece blends traditional concerto form with jazz influences, syncopated rhythms, and blues-inspired melodies.
Guest pianist Albert Cano Smit will join the orchestra for the concert. Organizers say his expressive style makes him a strong fit for Gershwin’s mix of precision and spontaneity.
Tickets are on sale now through the Adrian Symphony Orchestra website, by phone, and at the door.
