ADRIAN — The Adrian City Commission has issued a proclamation recognizing a local student athlete.
Mayor Angie Heath presented Adrian High School senior Kade Opsal with the proclamation at the start of Monday night’s City Commission meeting.
Opsal was recognized for his first place finish in the 100-meter backstroke, as well as for finishing as runner-up in the 50-meter freestyle, at the Swimming & Diving Finals in Holland last month.
Opsal tells WLEN News that he is grateful to the Commission for recognizing his achievement.
That was Adrian High School senior and state champion swimmer Kade Opsal.
