MONROE TWP. — The Monroe County sheriff says deputies are investigating a breaking and entering and arson incident after a vehicle crashed into a Monroe Township cannabis store early Saturday morning.
Dispatchers received reports around 1:04 a.m. that a vehicle intentionally rammed the front of Pure Cannabis on South Dixie Highway.
Witnesses told deputies at least two suspects fled southbound before entering a dark-colored waiting vehicle. Fire alarms were later activated at the business.
Deputies found a stolen Jeep Cherokee partially inside the building with sprinklers extinguishing a fire. Detectives are continuing the investigation.
