LANSING — DTE Energy has filed a proposed $474 million electric rate increase with the Michigan Public Service Commission.
The request was submitted April 28 and begins a formal regulatory review process that could continue into next year.
The filing comes weeks after regulators approved a previous rate increase for the utility. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has announced plans to intervene in the case.
The commission will review testimony, public comments and financial data before deciding whether to approve, deny or modify the request.
