ADRIAN — The Home Builders Association of Jackson, Hillsdale and Lenawee Counties has received a National Housing Endowment grant to host a skilled trades career fair.
The event will take place Thursday, May 7, at 9 a.m. at the LISD Tech Center. Executive Officer Pat O’Dowd says the goal is to connect students with careers in the trades.
He says the effort is also needed as many current contractors near retirement age, creating a future workforce gap.
