Donna J. Suydam, age 84, of Clayton, died Tuesday morning, April 21, 2026, at her home while under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born April 12, 1942, in Clayton to the late Leroy and Alvina (Dunlap) Shay. On December 21, 1985, she married Ronald Suydam. They shared over 27 years together prior to his death on January 30, 2013.
Donna had been employed in housekeeping with the former Adrian Mall for 17 years and also worked at the Beach House Restaurant. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and going to rummage sales.
Donna is survived by one son, Charles (Kim) Ekins of Morenci; two daughters, April (Jeff) Webster of Adrian and Krystal (Craig) Jones of Clayton; eight grandchildren, Jacob Ekins, Chelsea Ekins-Roe, Jamison Webster, Justin Webster, Hunter Jones, Ashton Jones, Zachary Jones and Benjamin Jones; four great-grandson, Van Cleeve Ekins, Nash Ekins, Bronx Webster, and Luca Jones and two great-granddaughters, Colbie Dallas Ekins and Jordan Ekins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirley Hall; and her brother, Larry Shay.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 27, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with her grandson Jacob Ekins officiating. Burial will follow in Dover Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
