ADRIAN — Adrian firefighters were honored Monday after helping save a newborn during a difficult home birth last December.
Fire Chief AJ Armstrong said crews delivered the baby after the birth did not go as planned.
City Administrator Chad Baugh said an emergency room physician told him responders did an outstanding job and likely saved the child’s life.
Armstrong said it was a full team effort, helping both the baby and frantic mother.
The crew received a Life Saving Award from the city.
