Onsted, MI – The Onsted Community Schools Board of Education has announced the hiring of Jonathan Royce to become the next Superintendent of the Lenawee County district.
The Board says that the District has a solid foundation to serve their students and community due to the excellent work of current Superintendent Steve Head…who is retiring at the end of the month.
The board says that they are looking forward to Royce’s leadership to execute their vision to inspire, challenge, and prepare every day across academics, arts and athletics.
His career in education includes stops in Charlotte, Ypsilanti, and Ypsilanti Lincoln, Ann Arbor Public Schools, and Old Redford Academy. He grew up in Stockbridge and Chelsea.
The Onsted Board says that Royce plans to complete his Education Specialist degree from Western Michigan University this year… has a Masters in K12 Administration from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelors from the University of Michigan.
The Board thanks the community for their participation and feedback in the Superintendent hiring process.
