One Dead in Plane Crash Near Lenawee-Washtenaw County Border

Clinton, MI – One person is dead and another has been taken to a hospital after a small plane crashed into a field in near the Village of Clinton. The plane went down near the Lenawee-Washtenaw County line around 1 p.m. Monday.

The Michigan State Police Brighton Post says that there were two occupants on the plane, which crashed south of US-12 and west of Lima Center Road. One of the occupants is deceased, and the other was life flighted to a hospital. Preliminary information indicated to the MSP that the flight was a training flight with an instructor and one student.

The FFA and NTSB have been contacted and will be investigating. Other details are limited at this time.
