Adrian, MI – Charles “Chuck” Garwood of Adrian was elected ‘Trustee Emeritus’ by the Lenawee Historical Society board of trustees at its recent April meeting.

Chuck first walked into the Lenawee Historical Museum as a volunteer in July 2010 and continues his selfless service today.

He was honored for his volunteerism by the Kiwanis a few years ago. His service to the museum was recognized last year when his name was added to the plaque of Outstanding Museum Volunteers as a “Guide and Trustee.”

The Lenawee Historical Society says that Chuck is the first volunteer to receive the title of Trustee Emeritus, an honor which carries with it a lifetime membership in the Lenawee Historical Society and a seat at any future board meeting.
