“African American Civil War Soldiers Including Lenawee and Monroe Counties” Program Planned for Thursday

Adrian, MI – A program titled: ‘African American Civil War Soldiers Including Lenawee and Monroe Counties’ will take place at the Lenawee Historical Museum this week.

The program covers the origin, recruitment, participation and battles of African American soldiers in the Union Army, and  the stories of the regiments that included residents from Lenawee and Monroe Counties.

Lenawee had one of the largest numbers of African American troops from the state, according to the Museum.

The program will feature Speaker David Ingall, and will take place Thursday, September 21st at 7pm.
