Adrian, MI – The husband of missing Lenawee County woman Dee Warner was arrested Wednesday after being found guilty of criminal contempt of court. Probate Judge Catherine Sala ordered that Dale Warner serve 93 days in the Lenawee County Jail, then serve 6 months probation.

In addition, Dale must pay $7,500 in fines, conservator and attorney fees, and is required to make the estate of Dee Ann Warner whole again.

Judge Sala ruled that Dale repeatedly violated the orders of the court, and resisted efforts of the conservator of Dee’s estate. She said that the most egregious violation of her order issued in January of 2022 was the sale of DDW Transportation by Dale Warner for nearly $1 million dollars.

Earlier in the day, Judge Sala heard closing arguments in the Dee Warner declaration of death petition. The third day in court to determine if the missing Lenawee County woman can be legally considered dead did not yield a verdict. Sala said that she will issue a written statement within about a week.

Dee has been missing from her Munger Road home since April, 2021. Her disappearance has amassed national attention. A Michigan State Police Detective working on the case previously said in court that Dee’s husband Dale is a suspect in her murder. Dale’s attorney has stated that his client does not know what happened to Dee.
