Addison, MI – The Woodstock Township Board of Trustees have unanimously approved a Conditional Use Permit for New Mineral Extraction for a property on Round Lake Highway owned by a company called Gerkin. EDIT: the vote was not unanimous, it was 4-1.
Gerkin currently owns two properties that they use for mining operations on Round Lake Highway, and are looking to mine on a third plot of land just north of Pickerel Lake. In order to mine at the new location, Gerkin must meet the requirements of the Conditional Use Permit and have a Mineral Extraction License. Woodstock Township Supervisor Matt SeGraves talked to WLEN News about what took place Monday night…
SeGraves outlined the possible next steps that the township could take. He said that the Planning Commission would be the next to take any action…
