Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Personnel Ways and Means committee heard a presentation about a potential buyer for the old Tecumseh Products site.

Nick Williams, of Adrian, talked to all nine Board of Commissioners about bringing a metal tube facility to the existing building on the property…it would be called Tecumseh Tubular Products.

The tubing industry has partners in other industries, including automotive. Williams talked more about the proposed factory…

Williams talked about the timeline to get the facility up-and-running, and why he is pursuing Tecumseh as a possible location…competing with Livonia and Toledo…

Carlos Thagard, the Director of Sales for FD Machinery… the company that makes the Tubing machinery that would be installed in Tecumseh… talked to WLEN News about possible noise concerns, and why Tecumseh is a unique location…

Tecumseh City Manager Dan Swallow talked about the prospect of potentially having an industrial business move into the City…

Nick Williams said that he needs a decision between 4 to 8 weeks from now, because he has the equipment ordered, but needs a place to install it.

County Commissioner for the City of Tecumseh, David Stimpson, said in the recent meeting that he was not made aware of any interest in the Tecumseh Products site by Williams prior to this week.

Before a possible sale, the County must get an appraisal. The timeline for that is unknown at this time. Lenawee County purchased the site for $2.3 million in 2021.
