Adrian, MI – An Adrian native who recently graduated from the Michigan State Police Trooper School will be assigned to the Jackson Post.
Tyson Fetter was one of 46 state troopers who graduated from the 143rd Trooper Recruit School. During the ceremony in Lansing, Col. Joe Gasper, director of the MSP, administered the Oath of Office.
Recruits received training in patrol techniques, report writing, ethics, cultural diversity and implicit bias, decision making, leadership, first aid, criminal law, crime scene processing, firearms, water safety, defensive tactics and precision driving.
The next recruit school, the 144th Trooper Recruit School, will begin on July 9th at the MSP Training Academy in Lansing.
