Adrian, MI – Earlier this week, the Lenawee County community marked 2 years since Dee Warner went missing from her Munger Road home…and the family is now working to have her legally declared dead.

Typically in Michigan, a person can legally be considered dead after 5 years of being missing. Dee’s family has been in the Lenawee County Courts for the last number of months, and will try to convince a judge that she is deceased.

It will be a difficult case, because the family must present at the hearing that an accident or disaster occurred in which the individual named in the petition was killed or may be presumed to have died.

Dee’s brother, Greg Hardy, told WLEN News earlier this week that the Declaration of Death hearing will begin on June 20th in the courtroom of Lenawee County Probate Court Judge Catherine Sala.
