Sand Creek, MI – Want to learn more about the Census?… the Lenawee County Family Researchers will meet in early July to talk about the evolution of the once-a-decade event.

The group will have Dr. Robert Wessel, Vice President of the Lenawee County Historical Society, at their July 5th meeting to discuss the Federal Census Schedules from the first one conducted in 1790 through the 1950 Census.

There will be a special focus on how the changes help, or hinder, genealogists searching for their American and immigrant ancestors.

The program will be held at Sand Creek Community Church on Sand Creek Highway. The doors open at 5:30 for a time of socializing and networking, the business meeting begins at 6pm, followed by refreshments and the speaker.

The program is free and open to the public.
