Adrian, MI – American 1 Credit Union recently awarded several need-based scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating high school seniors from southern Michigan, including Lenawee County.
The awards are part of American 1’s annual Community Involvement Scholarship Program. The program is focused on why the student needed the scholarship and how receiving an education would support them in changing their life. Lenawee County students receiving the $1,000 each scholarship included two from Clinton High School.
American 1 funds the scholarship through their Skip-a-Pay program where members can choose to skip one month’s loan payment for a $25 fee and a portion of this fee funds the scholarship program.
American 1 Credit Union has branches in Lenawee, Jackson, Hillsdale, Washtenaw, Calhoun, and Wayne Counties.
