Tecumseh, MI – The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners are continuing to look at the feasibility of building a multi-purpose County facility on the site of the old Tecumseh Products property.
Earlier this summer, the County announced that the campus…if constructed… will house events, businesses, organizations, and recreational activities… if developed.
The market and economic analysis is in its final stage and has been sent to the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners for review. Lenawee County Administration and project team members continue to meet with county, state, and regional partners to determine environmental concerns, construction costs, and potential funding sources.
The concept of “The Phoenix” has emerged when referring to this project. The Phoenix, a mythological bird from Greek mythology, a creature who rose out of the ashes, transforming from death into life.
Lenawee County Board of Commissioners are reviewing the draft market and economic analysis of the proposed project.
An update will be given to the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners at their October 13th meeting. The final presentation to the Board of Commissioners will be on October 20th at 7pm at which time they may choose to vote on this project.
County Administration and Commissioners welcome the communities feedback.
