Lenawee County COVID-19 Update: January 12th, 2021

Adrian, MI – The State of Michigan, and Lenawee County, gave an update on the COVID-19 virus… cases, deaths, recoveries, and vaccinations.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that there were 415,079 recoveries as of Saturday, the one day a week they report recoveries.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 525,612 total cases, with 1,994 new confirmed cases.

There were 100 new COVID-19 deaths reported on Tuesday, with 50 of them being identified during a vital records review. Statewide, there have been 13,501 total deaths from the virus.

The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Tuesday that there were 49 new cases, with 19 hospitalized, and 3 additional deaths… bringing the countywide total to 74.

In Lenawee, 70% of the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 are considered discontinued from isolation and improving (or 3,319 out of 4,765).

The LCHD also said that 28% of the total confirmed cases (or 1,353 out of 4,765) were monitoring at home.

On the vaccination front, the MDHHS reports on Tuesday that there have been 233,085 Michiganders administered a shot.

As of Tuesday, there have been 2,063 vaccines administered in Lenawee County.
