ADRIAN: The American Legion Post #97 will be hosting this year’s Memorial Day parade Monday, May 28th. Line up at 10am in front of the Amory Event Center on West Maumee Street with the parade starting at 10:30am. The parade will proceed east on Maumee to Monument Park for ceremonies.

BROOKLYN: The Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade will be Monday, May 28th at 10am at The Square in downtown Brooklyn.

CLARK LAKE: The Clark Lake Memorial Day parade will be Monday, May 28th at 8:30am on Hyde Road.

ONSTED: The Onsted Memorial Day parade will be Monday, May 28th starting at the Onsted American Legion Post. Line up at 11am with the parade starting at noon. The parade will proceed to Maple Shade Cemetery for a ceremony.

HUDSON: Hudson Memorial Day parade will be Monday, May 28th with line up at 9:30am on Tiffin Street behind Bobby’s. The parade starts at 10am and will proceed down Main Street to Grove Street and then to Calvary Cemetery. Then there will be a short service with a rifle salute and taps at Maple Grove Cemetery.

WESTON: The American Legion Post 275 will be hosting the Weston Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 28th. There will be a bike decorating contest at 8:30am with the parade starting at 9am with the line up at the church on the west side of Weston. There will be a ceremony after the parade at Weston Cemetery, corner of Sand Creek Hwy and Weston Road. State Representative Bronna Kahle will be the guest speaker.

JONESVILLE: The Jonesville American Legion Post 195 in Jonesville will have a static display of an Army helicopter Monday, May 28th from 7am until 11am near the middle school. The Jonesville American Legion will be serving breakfast from 7am until 11am. Veterans admitted free with adults $5; children $3; 5yrs and under admitted free.

BLISSFIELD: The Blissfield American Legion will hold their Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 28th in downtown Blissfield. The parade will start at 11am and a wreath will be placed at the bridge. The parade will proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery for a service. Nicole Smith will recite the Gettysburg Address. The Blissfield American Legion Chicken Bar-B-Q will start at 11am until gone at the legion on High Street. The box lunch is $9 per box.

BELLVILLE-The Yankee Air Museum On Monday, May 28TH, the Museum is welcoming the public to attend its annual program dedicated to honoring the military men and women who were killed serving the United States. The Museum will be open, beginning at 9:00AM and then close by 10:00AM. There is no cost to attend the short event which begins at 9:00 a.m.

The Yankee Air Museum is located at 47884 D Street, Belleville on the grounds of historic Willow Run Airport.

DEERFIELD: Deerfield American Legion Post #392 will have their Memorial Day activities on Monday, May 28th. They will assemble at the legion home at 8:30am to proceed to St. Alphonsus Cemetery for a ceremony. Then they will buss to the Deerfield Township Cemetery for a ceremony at 9:30am. The parade will assemble at the four corners in Deerfield and start at 10am to march to the bridge for a salute to those lost at sea. The parade will then proceed back to the legion. In the event of inclement weather, a joint service will be held in the Legion home at 9:30am.

TECUMSEH: Tecumseh’s Memorial Day parade will be Monday, May 28th and will start with a short service at City Hall at 9:40am. Guest speaker will be Coast Guard Retired Captain Jerry Hale. The parade will start at 10am at the Tecumseh City Hall and will travel west on Chicago Blvd then north on Union Street to Brookside Cemetery for an 11am service. There will be a fly-over of 8 planes including some World War II T6’s. Elementary children up to 6th grade are invited to ride their bikes in the parade.
