Helen Marie Meyer (Mitchell), age 93, of Hudson, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born February 26, 1931, in Napoleon, Ohio, to Franklin and Luella (Pulitz) Mitchell. On October 28, 1951, Helen married Ernest Meyer in Napoleon, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in 2014.
Helen was an Our Saviour Lutheran Church member in Hudson, Michigan, for many years. She was also a member of the Bowling Association (WIBC). Helen enjoyed bowling in many different leagues. She also enjoyed reading and watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and Lions. Helen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and going to different family events.
Surviving Helen are her children; Thomas (Sandra) Meyer, and Linda (Brady) Ruggles; Four Grandchildren, Seven great-grandchildren, and Two Great-Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her Husband Ernest, Helen is preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service for Helen will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church 751 North Maple Grove Ave Hudson, MI 49247, at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Allen Muck officiating, with visitation being held from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
