Lansing, MI – State Senator Joseph Bellino has issued a statement in response to last week’s record-breaking 29-hour lame duck Senate session, in which he criticized the proposals passed by the majority Democratic Senate.
The Republican from Monroe called Democratic policies, “out-of-touch,” and said they would, “only make life harder and more expensive.”
The Senator applauded Senate Republicans, who, in his words, “stood firm against their reckless lame duck agenda, which included dangerous and costly proposals.”
Senator Bellino says that he is looking forward to working with his colleagues in the House, to, “get back to the issues that truly matter to Michigan families.”
