Rosemarie Montalvo, age 85, of Britton, MI, passed away at Trinity Health – Ann Arbor Hospital Tuesday, December 17, 2024. She was born on May 21, 1939 in Wiesbaden, Germany, the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Maria Elizabetha (Gotthardt) Schneider.
Rosemarie worked as a custodian for the Britton Macon Schools since 1979. She loved gardening and anything that involved the outdoors. She especially enjoyed playing with and spending time with her grandkids and her great-grandkids.
Rosemarie is survived by her children, Rudy Montalvo Jr. of Britton, MI, Lucy (Claudio) Rincon, of Tecumseh, MI, Dan Montalvo of Britton, MI, John (Sara) Montalvo, of Adrian, MI, and Ed (Janis) Montalvo, of Tecumseh, MI; her sister, Marlis Ebel, of Germany; eleven grandchildren, Courtney Adams, Jesse Adams, Derrek Montalvo, Cody Montalvo, Benjamin Montalvo, Elisabeth Butz, Claudia Lanham, Caitlyn Kormos, Megan Montalvo, Lindsay Montalvo, and Jacob, Montalvo; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Rosemarie was preceded in death by her brothers, Dieter and Horst Schneider, and the father of her children, Rudy Montalvo.
Funeral services for Rosemarie will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Britton, MI at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2024. Visitation will be held before the service at the church from 11:00 – 1:00 pm. Interment at Ridgeway Cemetery will follow the service. Memorial contributions in honor of Rosemarie may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
