Emma jean Cheshier, age 89 of Adrian, went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2024. Jean was born February 9, 1935 in Lincoln County Tennessee to William Houston and Johnnie B. (Walker) Gault. She married Mackie B. Cheshier on November 20, 1976 at the Sand Creek Community Church. Jean was a member of Freedom Christian Fellowship in Adrian and was active in service. She worked at the Adrian Big Boy for over 30 years. She also owned and operated an Adult Foster care home in Adrian. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Jean is survived by her son Bradley Neal Steelman of Flagstaff, Arizona; one brother William Houston (Carol) Gault Jr. of Petersburg, Tennessee, son in-law, Jamie Bloemendaal and his wife Michelle Bloemendaal. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Kenneth Steelman and Mackie Cheshier, daughter Nancy Bloemendaal, sister, Barbara Tucker and brother, Fredrick Gault.
Visitation for Emma Jean will be held Friday, December 13 ,2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian.
