Adrian, MI – The City of Adrian Engineering Services Department and Administration are reminding residents of ordinances pertaining to leaves, yard clippings, and snow in the street.
The city says that the ordinances were put into place in order to protect motorists and to help prevent flooding within the street network.
One of the sections says: “No person shall throw, deposit, leave, cause or permit the depositing or leaving of yard clippings onto a public street or alley.”
Now, about the snow… “A person shall not deposit, or cause to be deposited, snow, ice or slush on the traveled portion of any street.”
Adrian City hall reminds residents that failure to comply with these ordinances may result in a municipal civil infraction. Yard clippings can be collected and taken to the Compost Site now until 7PM and this Saturday from 8AM to 2PM.
Contact the City of Adrian Engineering Services department with any questions.
