Kassia Ann Yackee, age 59, of Manitou Beach, MI, passed away at home on November 3, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1965, in Davenport, Iowa, to Sidney Ernest and Katherine Ann (Underhill) Adams, and they survive. She was joined in marriage to Charles “Monty” Lamont Yackee on December 31, 1994, in Tecumseh, MI, and they enjoyed almost thirty years together. Kassia served as a nutritional and a mental health specialist for nearly sixteen years at the Maurice Spear Campus in Adrian, MI, where she served as a role model for the kids
Kassia was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tecumseh. She loved gardening, cooking, shopping and riding motorcycles. Her special love though was watching her kids and grandkids, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Monty, her father Sidney (Vicki) Adams, and her mother Katherine, Kassia is survived by her three sons, Jarrad Williams, of Tecumseh, MI, Jacob (Kristin) Williams of Adrian Twp, MI, and Luke Yackee, of Manitou Beach, MI; her brother, Kevin (Phyllis) Adams, of Adrian, MI; and three grandchildren, Ian, Lanie and Cole Williams.
Kassia was preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Porter.
Funeral services for Kassia will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor William A. Finn officiating. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Greens Lakeside Cemetery in Manitou Beach, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Maurice Spear Campus.
