Peggy Mabrey, age 84, formerly of Tecumseh, MI, passed way October 23, 2024.
She was born April 22, 1940, in Roundhead, OH, to James and Mable Baughman. She married James A. Mabrey, Jr. on December 27, 1957 and had 3 children together and were happily married until his passing in December of 2009.
Peggy enjoyed doing needlepoint and making quilts. She made quilts for all of her grandchildren and many of the things she made adorned her home. In later years, she would often be seen walking, which was her favorite form of exercise.
Peggy is survived by her children, Daryl (Evelyn) Mabrey, Gayle (Kevin) Furstenberg and Tricia (Lester) Graham, her grandchildren Bobby (Anita) Taylor, Barbara (Jay) Roden, Peggy (Jim) Reed, Josh (Emily) Furstenberg, Nathan (Becca) Furstenberg, Caleb (Paige) Furstenberg, Logan (Dustin) Chapman and Hannah Sweet and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh, MI with Rev. Jodi Cartwright officiating. Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Garden, Tecumseh, MI. A viewing will also take place Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh, MI from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service.
