Adrian, MI – A probable cause conference for the Lenawee County school bus driver charged with five felonies has been postponed another month.
44-year-old Michael Bonica of Tecumseh appeared from jail via Zoom in the courtroom of District Court Judge Todd Morgan, only for the Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office to agree with the defense council to delay the hearing.
This is the third time the probable cause conference has been delayed, as the defense team is anticipating a federal investigation.
Bonica, a former bus driver for Clinton Community Schools, is being held at Lenawee County Jail on five felony charges, including accosting a child for immoral purposes and aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material.
He was arrested in September following an investigation. Bonica’s next court date is set to be November 26th in front of Lenawee County District Judge Todd Morgan.
