Adrian, MI – The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute is looking to expand their college presence in Adrian by purchasing city-owned property adjacent to the LISD Tech Center and building their own campus.
President Luke Barnett was at the Adrian City Commission Work Session Monday night to talk about the multi-million dollar project, and answer Commissioner questions.

Barnett was was joined virtually by architect Ray Micham, who provided a detailed plan of what the Woodworking Institute would build on the land, which includes residence halls, an outdoor assembly area and recreational areas that Micham says would complement the existing natural environment.

Barnett also hopes for the city to support state and federal funding for the Institute, and for it to be recognized as Adrian’s fourth college.
