
Monroe, MI – A Michigan man was killed in a single motorcycle crash Friday afternoon in Monroe County’s Berlin Township.
The Michigan State Police Monroe Post reports that the crash occurred at U.S. Turnpike and Roberts Road.
From investigation and evidence at the scene, the following sequence of events were determined by the MSP: A black Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 55-year-old male from Redford, was traveling northbound on U.S. Turnpike.
The subject lost control of his motorcycle and went off the roadway overturning the motorcycle causing him to be ejected. The subject was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on scene. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in this crash. High rates of speed are considered factors. This incident remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
