Helen Banda, age 85, of Tecumseh, Michigan, passed away October 1, 2024 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. She was born October 11, 1938, in Clayton, Michigan, the daughter of Lloyd and Georgeanne (Fletcher) West. On May 22, 1953, she married John Banda and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2023.
Helen was a homemaker her entire life and family meant everything to her.
Helen is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Lee and Sandra (John) Cavender; 4 sons,
Juan Banda, Ino (Judy) Banda, Brian (Toni) Banda, and John (Amandra) Banda;
13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and great great granddaughter, Paislee.
She was preceded in death by her brother Wendell West in 2017.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh with Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.
Visitation will also be on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh.
