Beverly Bea Loveland, age 84, of Adrian, Michigan, died early Wednesday morning, October 2, 2024 surrounded by her family at Promedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital.
Bev was born on March 4, 1940, in Adrian, MI, the oldest child of Wilbert and Selma (Groth) Fick’s three children. Growing up with two brothers, Bev learned early how to play hard and be tough, while at the same time letting them know she was in charge. She graduated from Blissfield High School with the Class of 1958.
On December 10, 1960, Bev married George Loveland at Palmyra Community Church, and they have shared over 63 wonderful years together. During their marriage, Bev and George have traveled around the United States, with memorable stops in San Francisco, Alaska and Hawaii; they even found time to visit all the casinos in Michigan.
Bev was an excellent cook and put her culinary skills to use working for R&B Catering for over 20 years. Many will remember Bev as the lady in charge of the “Lunch Wagon” who kept a tight schedule and stopped at numerous factories around Adrian. She then went on to work at Flowers & Such for 10 years where she delivered flowers. Family was the center of Bev’s life, and she treasured all the memories and adventures shared with her loved ones.
In addition to her husband, George, Bev will be missed by their children, Dawn (Brad) Ball and Todd (Eileen) Loveland; grandchildren, Brandon (Brittany) Ball, Lucas (Michele) Ball, Erika (Mark) Hartley and Wyatt (Kendal) Loveland; great-grandchildren, Landon Ball, Ethan Ball, Preslie Ball, Parker Ball, Liam Ball, Edison Hartley and Harrison Hartley; brother, William (Philinda) Fick and brother-in-law, John Loveland. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Keith Fick; and sister-in-law, Elaine (Larry) Zeluff.
Following Bev’s wishes, (and she always did it her way) she will be cremated and laid to rest at Palmyra Cemetery. A celebration honoring Bev’s life will be held at the Adrian Eagles Club on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee County Young Marines. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.WagleyFuneralHomes.com.
