Michelle Denise Rogers, age 42, of Denver, CO, died August 3, 2024, in Denver. She was born on March 10, 1982, in Jackson, MI, the daughter of Barry and Colleen (Dempsey) Rogers. She married Jeremy Elliott Owen on July 2, 2017, in Pagosa Springs, CO, and he survives.
After earning a Masters Degree in Counseling, she worked as a Licensed Therapist. She loved to travel, enjoyed the Hot Springs, Rocky Mountain camping, and Irish Step Dancing. Michelle adhered to a vegan diet, and she was a passionate advocate for animal rights.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her parents, Colleen (William) LaRue and Barry Rogers; son, Mason Baca of Denver; sister, Lisa (Susann) Rogers of Mukilteo, WA; parents-in-law, Carolyn Mackenzie and Michel L. Owen; sister-in-law, Kristin Owen; and 30 cousins. She was preceded in death by three uncles, Patrick, Michael, and Russel Dempsey; aunts, Barbara Sevitts and Mary Sue Myers; grandmothers, Susann M. Dempsey and Mabel B. Rogers; and grandfathers, Russell L. Dempsey and Guy Rogers.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 3-6 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with a rosary service at 5:30 P.M. A memorial mass for Michelle will be celebrated on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Campus 415 Ormsby St., Adrian, MI 49221 with Father Bob Pienta officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Adrian on the Dempsey family plot.
