Adrian Twp., MI – All four people involved in a two-vehicle crash in Adrian Township Tuesday evening died at the scene. The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office reports that Deputies responded to the crash at the intersection of Tipton Highway and Shepherd Road at around 6:43pm.

Deputies said that a 2019 Silver Chevy Traverse was traveling southbound on Tipton Hwy., being driven by an 83-year-old male from Adrian , with his 79-year-old wife, and 52-year-old daughter, also in the vehicle. A 2020 black Jeep Cherokee was traveling westbound on Shepherd Rd, being driven by a 51-year-old male from Clayton.

Deputies report that the driver of the Jeep failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Tipton Hwy, hitting the silver Chevy Traverse in the driver side of the vehicle. Both vehicles went off the southwest corner of the intersection and came to rest in a field. All occupants of the vehicles were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash, and all occupants are believed to have been wearing their seatbelts. The next of kin for all involved have been notified. The Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene of the crash, which is under further investigation.

The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Tecumseh Police Department, Adrian Twp Fire Department, Madison Twp Police Department and the Raisin Twp Police Department.
