Leonard J. Brighton, age 51, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 11, 1973, in Jackson, Michigan, to Rollen and Nancy (Smith) Brighton.
After attending Brooklyn High School, Leonard started his own lawn care business. When he wasn’t working, Leonard enjoyed fishing, trying his luck at Firekeepers, Hollywood Casino in Toledo, or with lottery tickets, singing karaoke, and playing games on the Wii.
To cherish his memory, Leonard leaves his parents, Rollen and Nancy Brighton; partner of 25 years, Connie Randles; stepsons, William D. Suydam, Troy (Carri) Suydam, and Ray (Tera) Suydam; stepdaughters, April L. Hardy; 12 grandchildren: Carson, Cooper, Delila, Mason, Hazel, Aubey, Chase, Collin, Hampen, JJ, Heaven, and Issy; brothers, Charles Davis and Scott (Brandy) Brighton; nieces, Ashley and Morgan; and a nephew, Josh.
Visitation for Leonard will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 11:00 to 12:00 pm at Cement City Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Drew Woods officiating.
