William Edward Foster Sr., age 60, passed away in his home on Thursday, September 19, 2024. He was born on April 14, 1964, in Morenci to the late Dan Sr. and Verna (Wentz) Foster.

Bill enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably. After returning from the army, Bill joined the United States National Guard from which he was also honorably discharged. He took pride in being a veteran and his two-time honorable discharges.

Bill owned and operated City Service Towing & Auto Service LLC. When he wasn’t running his business, Bill could be found actively serving in his community. He was the mayor of Morenci from 2013 to 2015, a member of the Morenci Planning Commission, on the Morenci Chamber of Commerce, and organized many of the Morenci Town and Country Festivals. Bill was also a member of the Legion and the Eagles, he enjoyed fishing, and was an avid Michigan football fan. He cared about everybody, and his pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.

To cherish his memory, Bill leaves his children, Will (Kristin) Foster, Dave Foster, Bob Foster, Sarena Deck, and Olivia Foster; siblings, Kathy (Kevin) Dubois, Teresa Foster, Dan Foster, and Jesse (Jan) Foster; 10 grandchildren; and 16 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, Drake Foster; his grandparents, Jessie and Laura Foster and Peewee and Maxine Harvey; and his uncle, Ed Ackerman.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Morenci, on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 12:00 pm until a memorial service begins at 4:00 pm. Following the service, we will go in procession through Morenci one last time to honor Bill.
