Nancy Ellen Work, age 76 years, of Adrian, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at her home.
She was born April 28, 1948, in Tecumseh to Willard and Loree (Foster-Compton) Cowen. On June 24, 1978, in Adrian she married William “Bill” James Work and he survives. Nancy had owned and operated From Our Hands to Your Heart craft store for several years. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nancy was a member of Al-Anon since 1970.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (James) Haynes and Kimberly (Buck) McGraw; one brother, Russell Cowen; four grandchildren, Alisha Cosme`, Chelsea (Jose Amaro) Haynes, Haley Haynes and Austin (Analis Floyd) Reynard; a great-granddaughter, Kailani, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Work. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert (Doris) Cowen and two sisters, Eleanor Cowen and Carolyn (Hugh) Gooding; sisters-in-law, Sandra Cowen, Dorothy (Thomas) Hamilton, and brothers-in-law; Don (Patricia) Hildebrand, Glenn (Eva) Work and Don Work.
Funeral services for Nancy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Jim Vander Schuur officiating. Burial will follow in Hunt Cemetery, Madison Township. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 2-7 P.M. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
