David Murray Crosby, age 80, of Tecumseh, passed on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home with his daughter, Wendy by his side. He was born April 22, 1944, in Tecumseh, MI, the son of Harry and Ruth (Driscoll) Crosby. David was married to the love of his life Darlene “Katie”, and they shared many years together before her passing. He was a dedicated employee who spent thirty-five years as an over the road truck driver.
David was a man who enjoyed being involved in many different things. At one point he belonged to an Antique Car Club in Toledo, OH, and he loved to golf, camping and fishing. He was also an ardent sports fan, which included NASCAR, the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Tigers, and he particularly enjoyed Red Wings Hockey and Michigan football.
David is survived by a daughter, Wendy Sue (Jose) Medina of Adrian, MI; his sisters, Rita Siwik of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Rae Lynne Mattis of Lilburn, GA; many grandchildren, Amber Ledesma, Joseph Ledesma, Brock Ledesma, Kelsey (Jon Mooney) Medina, Devin Moore, Payton (Kaylee) Moore, Jade Crosby, Dale Meek, Kaitlyn Crosby, and Hailee Crosby; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his best friend, Thomas Marty of Tecumseh, MI. In addition to his wife, David was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Crosby; grandparents, Glen and Vera Driscoll; daughter, Patricia Ann Ledesma; son, David Lee Crosby; and brothers-in-law, Ronald Siwik and Larry Mattis.
According to David’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
