MARY ANN HART, age 87 years of Clayton, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 2, 1937, in Addison, the daughter of Alfred M. and Flora A. (Beal) Hyatt. Mary Ann graduated from Addison High School in 1955. She married Phillip L. Hart on July 30, 1955, in Hudson. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2017.

Mary Ann was a true farmer’s wife, doing all the chores that needed done on a dairy farm, like milking cows, feeding baby calves, the bookkeeping and occasionally driving a tractor. Her children and grandchildren learned valuable life lessons from her hard work, character and giving back to the community she dearly loved. She was a member of the Clayton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Hudson Center Grange, Pomona Grange, Lenawee County Farm Bureau, Lenawee County Holstein Association, 4-H Sewing Leader, the Hudson Township Planning Commission Board and volunteered at Lincoln Elementary School in the HOSTS program. Mary Ann loved going to as many athletic and school events possible for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially Friday Night Football at Thompson Field.

Mary Ann is survived by her three children; Brad (Tracey) Hart and their sons, Chad (Ashley) Hart, Nick (Jessica) Hart, Burke (Kate) Hart, Debra(Bruce) Isenhower and their children; Kristen (Ken) Stiekes and Ryan (Krista) Isenhower, Rebecca (William) Barrett and their daughters; Angela Freeman and Heather Barrett, 14 great-grandchildren; Addilyn, Colden, Evelyn, Carter, Grace, Daxton, Nora, Sadie, Brooklyn, Brycen, Hannah, Lillian, Aulora and Aden, her brother; Robert (Mary) Hyatt, two sisters, Joyce Colvin and Edie (Ken) Bolton and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, Brock Hart, parents, brother, Ernest (Patsy) Hyatt and brother-in-law Harold Colvin.

Funeral Services for Mary Ann will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Jackie Roe and Pastor Drew Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 1-3 P.M. and 5-7 P.M. Memorials are suggested to Clayton United Methodist Church or The Hudson Booster Club or charity of the donor’s choice.
