Monroe, MI – Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough would like to remind citizens to not leave valuables in your vehicle and to lock your vehicles when unattended.
He says that the department has seen an increase in thefts from vehicle incidents across Monroe County.
If you observe suspicious activity, call Monroe County Central Dispatch at 734-243-7070 to report your observations. Goodnough says to not attempt to detain or otherwise confront suspected offenders.
Anyone with information regarding recent larcenies from motor vehicles is also asked to call the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 734-240-7530 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak up.
