Tecumseh, MI – Tecumseh Public Schools is seeking the community’s support for a Sinking Fund Millage approval this November. The district is asking for the voters to approve a 1.75 mill sinking fund millage.
The proposed sinking fund will generate approximately $7.5 million over five years. The first project on the agenda is the repairs to the Tecumseh Community Memorial Pool building, estimated to cost around $2.5 million. These repairs will be carried out in phases to minimize disruption.
The sinking fund will cover projects to repair, maintain, and improve TPS facilities. This includes new roofs for four remaining buildings, new HVAC units, steam pipe replacements, network technology upgrades, and much more.
The district will host several informational meetings to help educate the public about the proposed millage. The first three will be held in the Media Center of Tecumseh High School at 6pm on Monday, September 16th…Tuesday, September 24th…and Thursday, September 26th.
